Diet is a vital part of lifestyle and includes understanding the different foods we need and those that are better left untolerated. We all have our favorite foods and when you eliminate some of them, you may feel like your body needs them or wants them but it is important to know which ones are good for you.
It can be difficult to know what foods are good for you without knowing what kind of nutrition they contain, but there are several things we know about nutritional adequacy that make us confident in this area.
For example, eating lots of fruits and vegetables has been linked to many positive benefits including weight loss potential. Another factor that makes eating a variety of foods seem appealing is the cost savings involved. Not only do people love being informed about these types of things, they appreciate being told in an easy to understand way.

Noodles
If you are looking to lose weight, then having noodles for lunch is a good idea. Noodles are a low-calorie food, and due to the carbs they contain, they can provide you with some Calories without too much difficulty.
Many noodles are gluten-free, so if you have dietary restriction for gluten, these are a good choice. Many are also vegetarian, which makes this food even more versatile.
Since these foods are high in carbs,iether people who struggle with weight can enjoy them as a quick and effective weight loss snack. Since they do not contain many healthy fats, either person can have them if they wish.
Having noodles is a great way to keep your body fueled between meals as well. Many varieties of noodles are high in carbohydrates, so you can have one or two to keep your body topped off.
Vermicelli
Diet Singapore has come out with a new ingredient for you to add to your cooking and diet. Vermicelli is a rice-like carbohydrate that can be eaten in many ways.
Vermicelli can be cooked into soups, barley dishes, or enjoyed as dessert or lunch. Whatever way you eat it, it will give you the same effect as sugar – high carbohydrate content.
However, when you look at the difference between regular cane sugar and vermicelli, there are drastic differences in texture and composition.
A small amount of vermicelli contains only 4 carbohydrates per serving while one cup of plain white sugar contains 30!
So how much should you eat of this? As little as necessary to feel full and avoid weight loss stabilizers. Most people find that one serving of 1 cup of sugar equals one cup of vermicelli so they just cut down on the amount they eat.
Bread
Most people discover that they don’t like bread after having a bag of it for a while. The taste, the texture, the whole experience can be awkward and/or bad for you.
The carbs in breads and other baked goods is high. This is why you should check the bag to see if there are any alternatives to bread!
But not all carbs are good or bad. Some are good for you and others not so much. There are some that are totally fine to have once in a while.
Pasta
Pasta is a pretty common food. Most people eat their own homemade pasta at least a few times a day in the average life span.
But does eating pasta every day really benefit you?
The answer is not always yes.
Pasta can be high in carbs, and can also be very tasty! Many people miss it when it’s not around.
How Much you should Eat of It?
Pasta comes in different sizes, from tiny little strands to giant bowls. The largest type of pasta we eat most often is macaroni.
Macaroni is made from wheat, so it is higher in calories compared to another type of pasta made out of rice called penne. Penne usually contains extra carbs that lure us into eating too much of it.
Chickpeas
Chickpeas are a staple food in many cultures. They are often paired with vegetables or as a side dish with meat or vegetables.
If you are not familiar with chickpeas, you can purchase them in the form of canned rather than fresh. Canned chickpeas have instructions for how to be cooked and stored. Canned chickpeas will last for about 6 months to a year before needing to be opened and re-heated.
How to use Chickpeas: You can substitute them in any recipe where you need a small amount of protein. For example, you can make hummus or guacamole using canned chick peas instead of fresh ones. You can also mix them with rice or couscous to make a snack.
Dietary restrictions when eating chick peas: It is recommended that people with high potassium needs eat the dried rather than the fresh type because the dried does not contain enough water to maintain adequate moisture content within the food product.
Lentils
Lentils are a great vegetarian food. They are high in protein and low in carbs. Plus, they are incredibly versatile. You can make them in the slow cooker!
Lentils can be cooked on their own or topped with a sauce. Either way, this food is good!
How to cook lentils
To cook lentils your way, you can use any type of stew or potato dish as the base. The best option is to use pinto or black beans because they take on the most water and are easiest to fix into a tasty meal.
You can also sauté them or roast them if you like. You can also mash them to create a creamy base for sauces too.
Peas
Peas is one of the top 3 favourite foods in Singapore. There are many ways to enjoy peas, from trying some new recipes to old favourites like umeboshi paste and takoyaki.
In fact, there are over 20 different types of peas that you can try!
Many people enjoy adding a little sugar or salt to the peas to make them more enjoyable. Some people even add cooked chicken or eggplant as well!
These toppings are referred to as maki-makis or tapa-tapas. They are sold everywhere from food court stalls to supermarkets and grocery stores.
Eggs
If you are looking to lose weight, you should probably stay away from eggs for at least two weeks. This is due to the fact that your body needs time to metabolize the egg yolks during a dietary period.
During this period, your body has to break down the protein in the egg whites to create energy for your system. This takes time and thus, you must follow a diet on an extended period of time or in one sitting.
This is why it is important to eat an egg every day on a regular basis. You can buy an egg every morning and have it for breakfast, or you can buy one at night before bed.
